Ronnie Russell Name President of Team Rensi Motorsports

MOORESVILLE, NC --Team Rensi Motorsports co-owners Ed Rensi and Gary Weisbaum announced the promotion of Ronnie Russell to President of Team Rensi Motorsports effective immediately. Russell, 53, a Clarksville, TN native has been with Team Rensi Motorsports since its inception in 1998.  Prior to being named President, Russell served as Vice President of Operations for Team Rensi Motorsports.

Ed Rensi expressed his pleasure in naming Russell to the position.

“Ronnie has been very instrumental in the building of Team Rensi Motorsports since day one.  His leadership and experience have allowed us to grow our organization from a small one-car team to a strong two car NASCAR Busch Series operation.”

Gary Weisbaum echoed the statements of Ed Rensi.

"Since I first met Ronnie when he was with Richard Petty, I have been impressed with the dedication to his job he displays on a daily basis. The leadership and management skills Ronnie brings to Team Rensi Motorsports are one of our greatest assets.”

Russell voiced his appreciation to Team Rensi Motorsports for their belief in his abilities.

Russell was very instrumental in the recent Busch Series partnership formed between Team Rensi Motorsports and Robert Yates Racing.

Russell currently resides in Harrisburg, NC with his wife Kim.

Team Rensi Motorsports operates two cars in the NASCAR Busch Series, the No. 25 Team Marines Ford driven by Ashton Lewis, Jr. and the No. 35 Team McDonald’s Ford driven by Regan Smith.
